How many times have you been caught off guard by videos that autoplay on Facebook ? Certainly many. They start playing as soon as the page loads.

Autoplaying videos is a feature that, while it's nice when it's displaying content related to your interests, the truth is that it can be quite annoying when it's not. Autoplaying videos can also be harmful, exposing you to violent, offensive, or unwanted content that you shouldn't see by default.

If you just want to stop autoplaying videos on Facebook, then you've come to the right place. Remember that you will need to adjust the settings on each device you use, as your preferences on, say, your phone are not automatically sent to your PC.
